It is finally Spring! Time for spring dresses!
Tilly is organising a fun little thing next week - One Week One Pattern. Sewers will wear clothes made from one pattern for a week. It can be one garment for the whole week, or different garments using one pattern. Most people will be doing it March 24 - 30. Lots of sewers have a favourite pattern they have sewn up a million times. Mine is Burda 7829.
It's a very flattering style of dress. I think I have used this pattern about 7 times.... Some of the versions I modified quite a bit so they aren't so recognizable anymore.
I even used this pattern to make a navy polka dot dress for my friend Astrid a few years ago.
I don't have all the versions of this dress anymore, I have maybe 4 of them here so I am going to get sewing another one today. I have some fabric I dragged back from Istanbul last year that I want to use.
